Instead of buying an iPod and going for the Zen mp3 player, there are 2 more reasons.  They are the ease of video transferring and the color variety. The Zen mp3 players have a large variety of colors and gives the owners a more personalized design of their Zen mp3 players.  The iPods are very limited in their color choices.   Also, it is kinda difficult and confusing to transfer videos that were not purchased form iTunes for you iPod as for the Zen mp3 players it is the great ease to do so.

There is a wide-span price range for the Zen mp3 players that have a variety in storage capacity.   As to the original iPod and the iPod Nano as related to their cousin The Vision: M and the Nano Plus which are very closely related in cost.  For example,  the Nano Plus, which costs less than $50, contains as little as 512MB, the Vision W, which is priced at over $300, can be found with up to 80GB.

Since I own a Creative Zen Vision: M for some time now I gained some personal experience with the Zen mp3 player.  Over time I found out two things that can be better with the Zen mp3 player.  One is the art album not showing up and two is the software. What was great was that the issues were both solved with a quick update of the software.  So in a nutshell the Zen mp3 players are great.

Zen mp3 players have become increasingly popular due to their sleek looks, large range in prices and the vast variety in products.  The Zen players are quickly gaining ground even though it may seem they are overshadowed by the Apples iPod.
